Our Information Collection, Use and Disclosure Practices Personal Information Provided Voluntarily by the User:
You may be asked to provide or otherwise voluntarily provide Personal Information when you participate in various services and offerings available through our websites, when you contact us via phone, mail, or otherwise, and when you perhaps participate in things like related promotions. Unlike some networks, we only ask for a verified email address and name as part of the initial email sign up process.
Though you may access and use portions of our websites without providing any Personal Information, in order to take advantage of the full capabilities of our websites and to obtain access to, and use of, many of the features of our websites, you must provide certain Personal Information. For example, in order to register for email alerts through our websites and to request information about services you must provide certain Personal Information.

Those third parties are not authorized to use or disclose Personal Information for any purpose other than to perform the services designated by My Student Events. We may also provide the Personal Information you provide to us to a third party if we are required by law or litigation so to disclose such Personal Information. For example, we may be required to disclose Personal Information to respond to a court order or other legal process. Finally, the Personal Information you provide to us may be transferred as an asset in connection with a merger or sale involving all or part of My Student Events or as part of a corporate reorganization, stock sale or other change of control. However, this will not affect your rights to discontinue from us holding any of your personal information or opting out of emails or communications in line with GDPR requirements.
Information Collected from Other Sources:
We may obtain information about you from other sources, such as companies that update and verify email and physical addresses, for the purpose of updating and enhancing our files.
Automatically Collected Information:
We will use the information we automatically collect through your access and use of our websites to determine how our websites are accessed and used. For example, this information will allow us (i) to determine which pages are the most popular with users, (ii) determine if our websites are working properly, and (iii) to improve the user-experience on our websites. We do not use automatically collected information to identify a particular user.
We may aggregate and use certain non-personally identifiable information for research or marketing purposes and may share, sell and rent or trade that information and statistical data derived from such information with our marketing partners, advertisers, or other third parties for research or marketing purposes.
Our cookies will never be used to track your activity on any third party websites or to send spam.

Some of our email communications to you may include a “click-through URL” linked to a particular page on one of our websites. By clicking on one of these URLs, you will automatically enter our website. Our systems track this information to gauge the effectiveness of our email communications and your level of interest in particular areas. Please note, that we will never send you an email with an imbedded link that asks for your password or any financial or account information; passwords are for your protection. We use pixel tags to identify what pages of our website are visited most frequently and to evaluate the effectiveness of the search functions on our website.
Our websites are general audience sites that are not targeted for use by younger children (i.e. below 13 years of age). Those children under the age of 16 should read the section below before signing up for any alerts or information.
What if I am a user aged 16 or under?
If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide any personal information to My Student Events via sign up or other medium.
If you are the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 16 who has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us using the information below, and we will delete that Personal Information with immediate effect.
We employ reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical measures, to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, use or disclosure. Our websites are capable of using encryption and we will use at least such level of encryption in the transmission of Personal Information from our websites to our servers.

Reviewing and updating your data
You can update the information we store on your behalf by logging into your website account and updating your profile. If you were not assigned a password when creating your account, you can request a new password online by selecting the ‘forgotten password’ option. If you do not have access to this account, you can request a data update by contacting the MSE Privacy Manager.

The right to be informed
You have the right to be informed why and how we collect your personal data, how we will use this information, who we share it with, what are the security measures we take to protect this information and what are you are your individual rights. We will publish this information in this Privacy Notice.
The right of access
You have the right to access the information we hold for you by logging to your online profile. If you need further information, you can make a Subject Access Request by contacting your MSE contact or the MSE Privacy Manager.
The right to rectification
You have the right for inaccurate or incomplete data we hold to be updated. You can make a request to have your data updated either through your MSE contact or the MSE Privacy Manager.
The right to erasure
You have the right to be forgotten at any point by contacting the Privacy Manager or emailing [email protected] At your request, we will remove all the data we have for you which we are not required legally to retain.
The right to restrict processing
You have the right to restrict processing when you have exercised one of the above right and it may take some time to process that request. For example: when you contact us to update your details you have the right to request restriction until your details are updated.
Right to withdraw consent
For the processing activities where we have asked you for consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any point by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or contacting the Privacy Manager.
The right to object
You can object to the processing of your personal data at any point by contacting the Privacy Manager. There may be instances where we may not be able to fulfil those requests, but we will provide you with explanation when replying back to you.
Right to not be subject to automated decisions and profiling
None of our processing activities are purely automated. There are instances where we process data to analyse or predict behaviour but we will ask you for explicit consent when this processing will involve your personal data.
Right to data portability
If you have provided us with your personal data with consent or under the contact obligations, you have the right to request the data you have provided to us in a machine-readable format should you decide to move to another data controller.
